P&G Employees Play Another Key Role: Community Volunteers

Coomunity volunteers

In service to people everywhere who are caring for their families and communities – all day, every day, P&G people are stepping up and serving others as a force for good.

April 20 is Volunteer Recognition Day, and we’re taking the opportunity to thank our employees around the globe for their service to their neighbors and neighborhoods – beyond their work at P&G.

Over the past year, P&G employees have volunteered as individuals and as teams. Here are a few examples from the Greater Cincinnati area:

  • Employees volunteered to support the Freestore Foodbank in Greater Cincinnati. The volunteers sort food donation items and Power Packs – a weekend supply of food sent home with students who are experiencing food insecurity.
  • To inspire Cincinnati Public Schools students to achieve higher levels of financial competency, volunteers teach a Junior Achievement financial literacy lesson to seventh graders, in partnership with the United Way of Greater Cincinnati.
  • At Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House, our volunteers support families by helping provide “moments of togetherness.” Guided by a professional chef, they prepare and serve a healthy meal to the families staying as guests at Ronald McDonald House.

Volunteers work with many other organizations and nonprofits, including assembling disaster kits for Matthew 25 Ministries; serving guests at St. Vincent DePaul as food pantry shopping assistants and hospitality hosts; and sort through donations that will be placed in the Teacher Free Store at Crayons2Computers.

They also get active outside, including at Camp Joy, an experiential education center supporting underserved children in the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton areas from low-income homes, foster care, or children with chronic medical conditions. Our volunteers support ongoing maintenance of the impressive outdoor facility.

To those volunteers in the Cincinnati area and around the world, thank you for all you do to make our neighborhoods and communities stronger.
