In Case You Missed It: Highlights from Signal P&G 2018

Last week, P&G welcomed more than 30 of the industry’s best and brightest digital platform executives, founders, peer companies and thought leaders to our Cincinnati Headquarters for our 7th Annual Signal P&G conference.

A high-caliber discussion unlike any other digital industry conference of its kind, Signal P&G has earned a reputation for consistently sparking inspiration, education and activation for our employees around the world. Around 700 P&G employees and external partners attended the event in person, with an additional 1,500 watching the live webcast from remote locations. Many more followed real-time video highlights tweeted throughout the day from the @ProcterGamble Twitter account, which caused the #SignalPG conference hashtag to trend throughout much of the day.

This year’s central theme, “Leading Through Mass Disruption,” focused on how we can harness digital technologies across the value chain to grow and create lasting value for our businesses. The various sessions focused on the promises and challenges of technology, and how to re-define the roadmap to help navigate an era of mass disruption.

Several CEOs and entrepreneurs shared about their specific experiences re-inventing how to meet the needs of the consumer today, developing new digital communication campaigns, and innovating the in-store experience. Some shared how the lessons of technology transform and transcend markets.

Just a few of the names on this year’s impressive speaker line-up included: Richard Liu, Founder and CEO of JD.com; YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki; Arianna Huffington, Founder and CEO of Thrive Global; Ben Silbermann, Co-Founder and CEO of Pinterest; Emily Chang, Chief Marketing Officer of Starbucks China; and a surprise appearance from the one and only Katie Couric.
